Wall St trims losses after home sales data
U.S. stocks trimmed losses and the Dow Jones industrial average turned positive on Tuesday after data showed pending sales of previously owned homes rose at a faster-than-expected pace in June.
* The Dow index <.DJI> gained 12.40 points, or 0.13 percent, to 9,298.96. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> lost 1.18 points, or 0.12 percent, to 1,001.45. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> was off 5.78 points, or 0.29 percent, to 2,002.83.
