  • TMTG is hiring a content development manager to create programming for its streaming service
  • Candidates are not required to have a bachelor’s degree
  • The chosen candidate will be tasked to generate concepts for unscripted content and short form series episodes

A media company owned by former President Donald Trump is now hiring new staff members for an upcoming streaming television service it plans to offer to consumers.

The Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG) on Wednesday posted a job ad on sites for creators looking to help produce shows for the company’s new streaming service, TMTG+. The company is looking to hire a content development manager to create programming focused on offering “broad-based entertainment rooted in free speech.”

Candidates are not required to have a bachelor’s degree. The job ad also noted that applicants who have the requisite experience will be considered for the role. However, applicants currently on work visas are not eligible.

The candidate chosen to fill the position will be tasked with generating and developing concepts for “original unscripted content, short form series episodes and specials.” The candidate will also be required to remain updated with all developing trends at networks and any upcoming unscripted programs.

It is unclear what programming TMTG+ would offer. However, the ad suggested that the streaming service could offer anything from scripted dramas to non-scripted talk shows and “documentaries.”

In addition to hiring a content development manager, the company is also looking to hire a content acquisition professional, android developer, DevOps engineer, Elixir developer, site reliability engineer and senior product manager, according to its LinkedIn page.

Trump first announced he was launching the media company in October 2021. TMTG is now valued at $1.7 billion. The multimedia conglomerate also owns Truth Social, an app that Trump hoped could rival larger social media networks such as Facebook and Twitter, both of which suspended him following the Capitol riot on Jan. 20, 2021.

TMTG+’s programming will be helmed by producer Scott St. John. He previously worked at NBC as the producer on “Deal or No Deal” and “America’s Got Talent,” according to an investor presentation the company filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission in the fall of 2021. TMTG estimates the streaming channel would have at least 10 million subscribers and a “long-term revenue opportunity” estimated to reach billions of dollars.
