Was Farrah Abraham Fired From 'Teen Mom'? She Responds To Apparent Ultimatum
The “Teen Mom” drama never seems to end. The show had been canceled by MTV in 2012, but recently the youth television station aired specials with original moms Farrah Abraham, Catelynn Lowell and Amber Portwood. Maci Bookout’s special aired over the summer.
There’s a rumor floating around that because the catch-up episodes did so well, MTV is looking to bringing the girls back for another season, but not everyone is on board. Well, not everyone is on board with being on the same show as Abraham, the “unintentional” two-time porn star.
According to Us Weekly, the girls don’t want to be affiliated with Abraham because of some of the choices she’s made professionally (and, apparently, personally) following “Teen Mom.” "They don't want their kids on a show where someone's talking about sex toys," the source said.
Abraham has, in fact, come out with a line of sex products and apparently MTV is seriously thinking about the ultimatum. "They would definitely consider dumping Farrah to get the other girls," the insider told Us Weekly.
But it’s not like Abraham, 22, is affected by the news. When asked about the girls’ alleged request, she told Us Weekly she has her “own life.”
Most recently, she released a song complete with a music video starring herself and daughter Sophia, 5. The nonsensical video, “Blowin,” is reportedly about how Abraham doesn’t let bullies get the best of her. Her penchant for fame is also made clear, as the lyrics show: "Being a star is better than not knowing who you are."
“Teen Mom” isn’t the only time Abraham appeared on reality TV. She went on to star on “Couples Therapy” by herself after her significant other didn’t show up. It’s been rumored that she never had a boyfriend and lied just to get on the show, but Abraham maintains she was in a serious relationship before “Couples Therapy” started.
The 22-year-old seems determined to find another reality show to star on. On Tuesday, she asked her followers what her next gig should be.
