Was Lamar Odom's Rap The Reason Khloe Kardashian Filed For Divorce?
The rap Lamar Odom made about cheating on Khloe Kardashian seems to have been the last straw. On Sunday night’s midseason finale of “Keeping Up With The Kardashians,” her two sisters and best friend essentially staged an intervention.
After the rap went viral, Khloe told Malika Haqq there was no way he could deny cheating on her now. She saw and heard it coming from him directly with her own eyes.
"And when Khloe’s out of town, I guess I’ll still be on the DL [down low],” the former Los Angeles Lakers player said in the video. It was released by TMZ at the end of November, and Khloe filed for divorce in December.
Khloe tells her sisters Kim and Kourtney and Malika that she threatened Lamar with divorce if he didn’t go to counseling and that he didn’t seem to care. From the way the “KUWTK” episode portrayed the incident, Khloe had tried to do everything she could to save their marriage. That’s when Kim steps in, begins to cry, and reveals even though she knows Khloe meant her vows, she thinks it’s time for her sister to go her own way.
Khloe explains it’s hard to make the decision to file for divorce by herself. Lamar had apparently been ignoring her calls and texts. That’s when Kourtney responded: “It's unfair that you're alone in your marriage.” Khloe adds that she felt guilty filing for divorce and Kim allegedly said she felt guilty for a year after she filed for divorce from ex-husband Kris Humphries.
Though Lamar has since told Us Weekly Khloe will “always” be his wife, a source told Hollywood Life there wasn’t a chance the former flames would rekindle their love. “They are not getting back together, no way,” the insider said.
