A convicted sex offender from Washington state has been charged with first-degree rape and first-degree kidnapping for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman whom he kept in his garage for two weeks.

Henry William Hauser Jr., 54, was charged Friday. Pierce County prosecutors said more charges might be filed, adding that they would ask for this to be his third strike. This conviction means it carries a sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole, reported The News Tribune.

According to court documents, the woman was homeless, so Hauser Jr. offered to let her sleep in his garage. The woman took up on his offer and went with him on Nov. 10, but she soon felt uncomfortable and tried to leave, according to KEPR.

When she told him she was going, he allegedly chained her to a truck, according to the report. The victim also told investigators that for the next two weeks, Hauser Jr. gave her drugs, which caused memory issues, and sexually assaulted her several times a day.

The suspect allegedly told the woman he wanted to kill her slowly but there were instances where he would tell her he wanted to "keep her."

"She said the defendant would make statements to her like he was acting out a fantasy," prosecutors wrote in charging papers.

At one point, he left the keys for the chain near the woman, and she used them to escape from where she was being held captive. She finally got out on Nov. 28 and flagged someone down, seeking help to call the cops.

When the police arrived, they saw the woman had chains around her ankles. Firefighters had to cut the said chains off.

Officers then searched Hauser Jr.'s home, where they eventually found a truck matching the woman's descriptions. They also discovered chains, bedding and a large bucket filled with urine on the property.

Police arrested Hauser Jr. at a Walmart on Thursday and he admitted the woman was in his garage. However, he said she had asked to be chained and that he had refused to do it.

This is not the first time Hauser Jr. has gotten into trouble. In 2014, he was convicted of unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver with sexual motivation as well as assault in the second degree with a deadly weapon. He faced these charges after kidnapping a 16-year-old girl, forcing her to consume meth and then raping her. He also has a 2003 conviction for third-degree assault with sexual motivation after pistol-whipping a woman with a mental disability.
