An escort was arrested Tuesday after she allegedly shot a Washington state man in the head because she thought he could not perform oral sex well- and she wasn't sure how to tell him.

According to reports, Marissa Wallen, 21, allegedly admitted to shooting her 36-year-old unnamed client at his home in North Everett last month. A probable cause statement was filed in court during her first appearance via a video camera Wednesday.

The statement said Wallen left the man to die at his house on Oct. 24 after shooting him where he was found three days later, unable to speak, the Herald.net reported. His boss reported to the authorities when he hadn't signed on for his at-home job following which Everett Police found him unresponsive, but alive. However, he remains in the hospital after a CT showed two bullets lodged in his head.

According to My Everett News, Wallen told a detective that the man was "performing oral sex wrong and she did not know how to tell him that" so she grabbed a gun and shot him.

Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit searched the man’s residence and discovered his wallet was missing. They also learned that a woman who was seen at his home multiple times before was the last person to be inside.

Almost $12,000 was taken from or charged to, the man’s financial accounts around the time of the shooting. The charges were tracked to area businesses where it was confirmed the woman had used his accounts and she was identified. Detectives said she confessed to the crime after she was arrested and even asked them to call one of her other customers to post her bail.

She is being held on charges of first-degree assault, first-degree robbery, and identity theft. Her bail has been set at $1 million.

The victim's neighbor told CBS affiliate KIRO-TV he heard a noise on Saturday when the shooting happened. “I heard what sounded like two or three taps coming from the wall,” Mark Barnum said. “It was notable because we don't usually hear anything.”

He said he thought it sounded like a hammer at first until he talked to the detectives. “It just kind of shocking to think perhaps that was maybe - maybe those were the shots. Maybe it was [the victim]. And I feel really bad that I was unable to help,” Barnum said.

Neighbors said the victim worked in a field related to technology.“He keeps to himself a lot, he's got his computer stuff up there. He handles a lot of websites, it security,” said Erik Buxton, another neighbor. We’ll talk, he’s a nice guy.”

“He liked to kind of flash his money a little bit. It's what's going to happen - you're going to attract negative people along the way,” Buxton added.

Court documents said the victim "had been hiring female escorts and frequenting a strip club in Seattle, where he was bragging about how much money he earned and belongings he had at his house.”
