Watch Anna Todd’s ‘After’ Teaser Trailer; See Movie Poster And Official Photo

“After” fans got the best Thanksgiving present ever. Aviron Pictures released the first official trailer for the movie adaptation of Anna Todd’s bestselling book.

The teaser trailer, seen above, introduces viewers to Tessa (Josephine Langford) and Hardin (Hero Fiennes Tiffin). According to Aviron, the young woman is “a dedicated college student, dutiful daughter and loyal girlfriend whose guarded world opens up when she meets the dark and mysterious Hardin Scott.”

Fans have been waiting years for the film. Todd, who serves as executive producer for the movie, first published the novel on Wattpad in 2014 where she initially published it as One Direction fan fiction. Harry Styles was renamed in the version that was published by Simon & Schuster. It was followed by several sequels. There are currently four novels in the series in addition to “After,” which would provide plenty of sequel fodder if the first movie does well when it hits theaters.

In addition to the “After” trailer, Aviron also released the movie poster and a film still. The photo, seen above, shows Tessa and Hardin in a dark room. It looks like Hardin is whispering something in Tessa’s ear while she’s trying to pay attention to something in front of her.

The poster, seen at the bottom of this page, emphasizes the steamy romance between Tessa and Hardin. The poster shows the two in an almost-lip lock while the tagline makes it clear that Tessa will fall in love hard and fast. “After your first, life is never the same,” reads the tagline.

Though everything is all about Tessa and Hardin today, “After” also includes plenty of supporting actors. As previously reported, the cast includes Pia Mia (Tristan), Inanna (Molly Samuels), Samuel Larsen (Zed Evans), Shane Paul McGhie (Landon Gibson), Khadijha Red Thunder (Steph) and Meadow Williams (Professor Soto).

The “After” movie will release on April 12, 2019.
