With her wedding to Alex Rodriguez pending, Jennifer Lopez has opened up in a new YouTube video, where she talks about her previous marriages and her current engagement to Rodriguez.

According to Lopez, who has been married three times, her first two marriages didn’t “count.” She said, “I've been married three times: once was nine months and once was 11 months. So I don't really count those.”

Lopez was married to Ojani Noa from 1997 to 1998 and Cris Judd from 2001 to 2003. In 2004, Lopez married Marc Anthony, who she was within for 10 years and had her two children with.

She goes on to explains in the video that she was too young to get married, and each marriage was too short. She talks about how these marriages were her attempts at trying to get married, and how each of these times, she got married for the wrong reasons.

"It seems like in this life you're always surrounded by people so you're never lonely but it's very lonely," she said. “So I felt like if I got married, then I would always have somebody, but that's not how life works. That's not how it goes. It's bad reason to get married.”

Lopez is currently performing her “It’s My Party” tour, celebrating her 50th birthday. The singer said she does have plans to marry Rodriguez soon and says she wants a big wedding in a church, which she didn’t have with her previous marriages.
