  • Kate Middleton shows off some dance moves before starting the Royal Train Tour
  • During the visit, the royal couple will thank frontline workers
  • The tour celebrates "community spirit" and show the effects of the public's generosity this year

Prince William and Kate Middleton are currently on a Royal Train Tour. Videos and photographs from their one-of-a-kind tour are currently making headlines.

The couple kicked-off their three-day tour from London's Euston Station on Sunday evening. During the trip, they are stopping by different parts of England, Scotland and Wales to meet with frontline workers and personally thank them for their inspiring work during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Several videos and photos showing the royals on their tour have been shared by the official social media accounts of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. In the posts, the pair can be seen meeting and greeting crowds and having socially distanced conversations with people.

However, there is one video from the tour that has gained the most attention and it shows Kate Middleton "swaying" to the performance of singer Shakin' Stevens, according to Elle. Stevens performed on a stage at Euston Station for the royals and other essential transport workers before the couple began their journey. Singing the 1980s classic "Merry Christmas Everyone," the Welsh singer got everyone grooving to the festive tunes including Kate. In the video, the duchess can be seen doing some subtle dance moves as she enjoys the music.

The mother-of-three looked elegant in her olive green Alexander McQueen military-style coat which she was first seen wearing during a trip to Bradford in January. She paired her attire with a floral mask and a red and green tartan scarf.

"As the #RoyalTrainTour was about to start, Shakin' Stevens 'Merry Christmas Everyone' echoed around Euston Station in London," reads the statement by Kensington Palace post featuring the said video. "Before departing last night, The Duke and Duchess met with inspiring transport workers who have gone out of their way to ensure people feel safe and secure throughout this difficult year."

William and Kate will travel 2,011 kilometers in three days and pay tribute to frontline workers, volunteers, care home staff, teachers and other essential workers. According to Vanity Fair, during their stopover at Edinburgh Monday, they visited Scottish Ambulance Service in Newbridge and then met with primary school children in Berwick. They even surprised the school children with three reindeers.

The Royal Train Tour will include several cultural programs and live performances celebrating the festive spirit.

The objective of the tour is "to celebrate community spirit and demonstrate the impact of the public's generosity this year by showcasing organizations and initiatives that have been supported by community relief funds including the NHS Charities Together," Vanity Fair quotes a palace aide as saying.

The duke and duchess are traveling by a nine-carriage royal train. Queen Victoria was the first monarch to travel by train in 1842 when she traveled from Slough to London Paddington.
