A mysterious six-foot faceless creature was seen behind a moose in a video filmed in Gaspésie, Québec, Canada. The video which was posted on YouTube by Audrée Tanguay Fréchette on July 29 has gone viral and was viewed more than 98,000 times.

“I was filming an moose on a roadside in Gaspésie, Québec ,Canada. Looking at the video I saw this strange shape at the back left,” she wrote.

The Sun reported that only when she looked back at the footage, she spotted the human-like creature lurking in the shadows “stalking the moose.”

Though it is unclear what the creature was, many linked it to the character of Gollum from J. R. R. Tolkien's "The Hobbit" and "The Lord of the Rings" novels.

"That looks like the Rake type creature stalking that moose. It must be pretty tall too," one person commented.

“The thing I first noticed was how stiff it is, it doesn't move like a living entity. But it's shaped like a hunched demon and does seem a little creepy at first! ” another person wrote.

However some refused to believe it and said it was just a speck on her car window. "It's obviously some crap on their windshield, that through the camera, looks superimposed on the trees, thus looking like something 'stalking' the moose,” one person posted.

In an incident in April this year, a strange beast was filmed walking the streets of Santa Fe, Argentina.

The creature, compared to a camel due to its long neck and small head, killed a pit bull and a German shepherd, the Deccan Chronicle reported.

“The creature's shape is striking, as it has not been connected with any known animal. Residents of Totoras in the province of Santa Fe report that a creature is wandering the streets and has even slain two dogs,” UFO Mania, the publisher of the video wrote.

While some felt it was a starved bear, others compared it to a werewolf. One person claimed to have come across a similar creature in 2005. “It blew my mind because it looked at us and turned and began moving just like a kangaroo would and cleared the concrete bridge wall easily and dropped at least 15 to 20 feet,” the person wrote.
