Watch: Woman Catches ‘Small Dinosaur’ Running Across Her Yard
KEY POINTS
- Footage of a small dinosaur-like creature running across a yard was captured by a security camera
- Users online debated on what the creature could be
- UFO sighting reports have surged since the start of the COVID-19 lockdown
A woman from Palm Coast, Florida has claimed that she saw a dinosaur-like creature running across her yard. The incident was captured by her security camera very early in the morning.
"Any animal we can come up with that would be 'walking' at 3:40 in the morning, wouldn't walk this way," Cristina Ryan told reporters. "Maybe I've watched 'Jurassic Park' too many times, but I see a raptor or other small dinosaur!"
The short clip was posted on FOX 35 News' site. Despite only being about 4 seconds long, viewers would be able to see a clear view of the small creature scurrying in the dark.
Upon showing the footage to other people, Ryan said they also arrived at the same conclusion -- the mysterious creature running across the yard looked like a baby dino, FOX 32 Chicago reported.
"Some say a large bird, but that makes no sense -- since whatever it is appears to have front legs. So not sure? Lol. I'm sticking with raptor myself," she continued.
Others who were able to view the video debated online as to what the animal could be.
"Looks like a Komodo dragon or some type of lizard!" one person commented.
"That is a dog wearing a harness dragging a leash. You can see all four legs and the harness and leash dragging behind it," another user added.
Meanwhile, others saw the opportunity to throw in a joke about the peculiar sighting.
"UFO recently sighted and guess this could be the CEO checking things out," one user joked.
Aside from the "baby dino" incident, several other unusual sightings have also been reported by citizens across the United States.
NUFORC, a U.S. organization that tracks UFO sightings and alien contacts, shared that UFO sighting reports have surged since the beginning of the COVID-19 lockdown. In March 2020 alone, the organization received about 816 sighting reports, and then 1,040 more in April.
Sightings of odd objects have given rise to questions from the public, which is why many were intrigued when Pentagon's John Ratcliffe revealed last month that the agency will be releasing a detailed report of UFOs later this year.
