watchOS 4: How To Update Software On Apple Watch
Updating an Apple Watch requires a few more steps than when doing so on an iPhone.
Here’s how to update an Apple Watch:
The Apple Watch must have at least 50 percent of battery life and must be connected to the iPhone.
Make sure the iPhone linked to the Apple Watch has the latest version of iOS installed. The iPhone should also be connected to Wi-Fi.
Have the Apple Watch near the iPhone.
Connect the Apple Watch to its charger and keep it there until update is completed.
Open the iPhone and go to the Apple Watch app.
Scroll down and tap on General.
Tap on Software Update.
Tap on Download and Install on the bottom.
Enter passcode.
An orange bar will appear showing the download progress.
Wait for update to complete. Do not restart the iPhone or Apple Watch while the update is in progress.
Apple also released on Tuesday iOS 11.2.5 for iPhones, iPads and the iPod Touch, as well as the macOS High Sierra 10.13.3 for Mac computers and tvOS 11.2.5 for the Apple TV.
