'We Wish You A Married Christmas' Hallmark Movie Premiere: Cast, Trailer, Synopsis
Hallmark Channel's merry holiday season continues with the newest "Countdown to Christmas" holiday premiere, "We Wish You A Married Christmas." The film, starring Marisol Nichols and Kristoffer Polaha, premieres Saturday night.
Hallmark fans will be in for a treat with the second premiere of the holiday season, as it brings back two familiar faces who have starred on Hallmark before, though they may not be as familiar with the two since they haven't starred in a massive roster of films. Nichols, in fact, has only been in two films in recent years—the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries title "Holly & Ivy," and last year's Countdown to Christmas film, "Christmas CEO."
As for Polaha, his credits with the network do run longer. In the last few years, he starred in two Hallmark Movies & Mysteries films-- "Rocky Mountain Christmas" and "Small Town Christmas." He also starred in the Hallmark Channel film "Pearl in Paradise," as well as two other Countdown to Christmas movies-- "A Dickens of a Holiday!" and "Double Holiday."
So what can fans expect in Polaha and Nichols' first film together? Let's find out.
"Becca (Nichols) and Robby (Polaha) are a married couple having a hard time connecting with each other as the holidays approach," a synopsis reads. "At the advice of their marriage coach, they head to a cozy Vermont inn just before Christmas with their dog Jerry."
However, what is supposed to be a relaxing weekend getaway to help them reconnect quickly goes south, as the pair wind up finding themselves stuck in the town longer than expected.
"Their weekend away gets unexpectedly extended when a mishap puts their car out of commission and delays their departure," the synopsis continues.
With nothing else to do while they wait for their car to get fixed, the two decide to get involved with some of the town's festive activities. What they don't expect, however, is that what they saw as misfortune might actually be what they needed to save their marriage.
"As Becca and Robby participate in the festive holiday activities in town, they slowly start to get caught up in the spirit of the season," the synopsis says. "The two begin to remember what drew them together in the first place and just may find themselves on the road to a very happily married Christmas."
"We Wish You A Married Christmas" airs Saturday, Oct. 22 at 8 p.m. EDT on Hallmark Channel.
