Hallmark Channel’s new slate of “Loveuary” films is officially beginning, with the highly anticipated second entry into the “Wedding Veil” lineup. The film, “The Wedding Veil Unveiled” stars Autumn Reeser and Paolo Bernardini.
Fans will absolutely recognize Reeser, who has starred in several different titles on Hallmark in the past. In addition to the first “Wedding Veil” film, she has also starred in recent years in “A Bramble House Christmas,” “Season for Love,” “Love on the Menu,” “All Summer Long,” “Christmas Under the Stars,” “A Glenbrooke Christmas” and “The 27-Hour Day.”
Bernardini will be a new face for Hallmark fans, however, as he has not previously starred on the network. Some of his other credits do include the film “Lost & Found in Rome,” as well as the Lifetime movie “Very Valentine.”
Lacey Chabert and Alison Sweeney also star.
So what can fans expect in this film? Let’s find out.
“A few months after Avery’s (Chabert) wedding, Chicago-based professor Emma (Reeser) travels to Italy to teach the history of American art. While there, she uses her free time to research the provenance of the veil, which leads her to the colorful island town of Burano, famed for its exquisitely handcrafted lace,” a synopsis reads. “On her way to the island she encounters a handsome man (Bernardini) who offers help but Emma—still processing the end of a long-distance relationship—declines.”
When she arrives at the oldest shop on the island, she finds someone who is very excited to see the veil-but only speaks Italian, which puts Emma at a disadvantage, That is, until the man from earlier shows up, and reveals that the woman who owns the shop is his grandmother and that the veil actually has a special connection to his family. Learning this, Emma decides to rethink his offer to help.
“Paolo and Emma decide to work together to unravel the century-old mystery of how the long-lost veil made its way from Italy to a shop in San Francisco,” the synopsis continues. “As they spend time together and Paolo helps Emma to let go and embrace the beauty of Italy they begin falling for each other.”
However, Emma has her doubts because of her past and she may need a little extra help to make her realize what’s right in front of her.
“As Emma prepares to return to Chicago, she isn’t sure she can handle another long-distance relationship, but the veil and its legend may have other plans,” the synopsis concludes.
“The Wedding Veil Unveiled” premieres Saturday, Feb. 12 at 8 p.m. EST on Hallmark Channel.
