FX Networks has dropped the trailer for "Welcome to Wrexham," a documentary series that tells the story of how actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney purchased Wrexham AFC due to their love for the football team.

The trailer, which was uploaded on YouTube Wednesday, opens with Reynolds and McElhenney standing alone on the field as Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love" begins to play in the background.

A commentator introduces the actors, saying, "I've got with me Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, the new owners of Wrexham AFC."

This is followed by a Q&A segment, during which a young fan asks the actors, "What was the connection between you and Wrexham Football Club?"

"We had no direct connection," McElhenney answers. "It was just a feeling."

The fan then says, "What me and my dad thought was because Wrexham is red and Deadpool's red..."

Reynolds jokingly responds by saying, "That's the real reason."

What comes after is a clip of a virtual interview where Reynolds says, "I think the biggest challenge is the community looking around going, what are these two guys doing here?"

Later in the video, there are scenes showing the actors touring the gym. Footage and interview clips that share what the football club has gone through over the years, what makes the team special and why football remains significant in people's lives are also showcased.

Fans took to the comments section to share their reactions to the trailer.

One of them commended Reynolds and McElhenney, noting, "As somebody who follows football and also lives in the U.K., These guys come across as very genuine and respectful people and that's good to see in football."

"This trailer gives me chills down my spine!! I just saw it during the commercial break of the ESPYS (ESPN awards) and it has me excited to watch," another person wrote.

Reynolds and McElhenney, who haven't worked together in movies, purchased the 5th-tier Red Dragons in 2020. Both of them have no prior experience in football.

"Welcome to Wrexham" is set to premiere on Hulu on Aug. 24.

On the work front, McElhenney has been a regular on the TV series "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" since 2005. He also played Ian on the TV series "Mythic Quest."

Reynolds, on the other hand, will be seen in projects such as "Spirited," "If," "Imaginary Friends," "Everyday Parenting Tips," "Deadpool 3," "Dragon's Lair: The Movie" and "Clue."
