HBO is looking for hundreds of extra to be a part of the Kern County shoot of “Westworld.” HBO

Aspiring actors can now be a part of “Westworld” Season 2 since HBO just released a casting call for hundreds of extras next month in the Ridgecrest area of Kern County, California.

According to Bakersfield Now, the announcement made by the Ridgecrest Area Convention and Visitors Bureau called for actors and actresses who would fit in with the 1890s period. Men can either have facial hair or be clean-shaven, while women need to have long locks that’s only one color.

The extras would be paid, but the ad did not reveal how much. The shoot will be made sometime in the middle of December, although no extra details have been provided.

Ed Harris, who plays the Man in Black, earlier said that their filming schedule for Season 2 has been pretty insane already.

Harris added that they are in better shape compared to when they were filming Season 1, but it appears show creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy are keen to get things done quickly since there are several groups filming at different locations on any given day.

“So far, we’ve shot some from episode 1, episode 2, some from episode 4, some from episode 10. They’re committed to having the scripts done to shoot so we’re done by Christmas,” Harris told Collider. “I’m glad that I am not a person who’s trying to schedule the days of filming on this thing, because it’s insane. Sometimes you’ll have two, three different episodes being shot. Different crews, different locations; I don’t know how they get it all done.”

But despite the crazy filming schedule, Harris said that it’s going to be pretty worth it since the show has a lot of surprises up its sleeves. “So far it’s definitely intriguing,” he said with a smile. “I don’t understand all that’s going on, but I know what I’m doing.”

Since Harris revealed that they are filming in different locations, it’s highly possible that the show is planning to introduce the Samurai, Roman and Medieval worlds, which were present in Michael Crichton’s original 1973 movie.

When asked earlier why these worlds did not appear in Season 1, Nolan told Deadline: “We had to save something for Season 2.”

“Westworld” Season 2 premieres on HBO in Spring 2018.
