WGN America Releases ‘Salem’ Season 3 Cast Photos Including First Photo Of Samuel Roukin’s New Character Sentinel
Spellbinding WGN America drama “Salem” is back with Season 3 this fall. Season 2 ended with the shocking death of powerful witch Mary Sibley and her former friend Tituba being attacked by a vicious pack of crows. John Alden came back to life thanks to Mary’s sacrifice, but their son John Jr. unfortunately became the devil’s vessel. What will happen in Season 3?
For one, Mary Sibley (Janet Montgomery) and her former friend/maid Tituba (Ashley Madekwe) are back! WGN America released a fresh batch of cast photos on the show's Facebook page that feature Mary, a dreamy-eyed Tituba, Mary’s lover John Alden (Shane West), the devil (Oliver Bell), the now cunning Anne Mather (Tamzin Merchant), her husband Cotton (Seth Gabel), crazy and cruel Mercy Lewis (Elise Eberle), kind Isaac (Iddo Goldberg) and Sebastian von Marburg (Joe Doyle).
Two new faces will be seen in Season 3. The first is bloody barber and surgeon Thomas Dinley who is the go-to man in Salem for everything from a shave and a haircut to being leeched, bled, sliced open or sewn up. This mysterious character will be an ally to the devil and is played by rocker Marilyn Manson. Manson has also co-produced the theme song of “Salem,” “Cupid Carries A Gun.”
Season 3 will also introduce another new character – Sentinel – played by “Turn: Washington’s Spies” actor Samuel Roukin. Not much is know about his character so far. However, once the season premiere date approaches, more information about Sentinel will be revealed.
Season 3 kicks off where Season 2 ended with the triumph of the witches’ plan to bring the devil on earth and make Salem his capital. However, the devil isn’t at all keen on remaking the world free of puritan hypocrisy, as the witches believed. Instead, John Jr. wants to enslave humanity and lead them to destroy themselves.
There is only one person who can stop the devil – his mother Mary.
“Salem” Season 3 premieres on Wednesday, Nov. 2.
