No matter the year, the NCAA men’s basketball tournament is a massive event that no one television channel could air. Which is why, with March Madness consisting of 67 total games over the course of a few weeks, Turner had shuttled off 13 of those games to national cable outlet and subsidiary truTV.

Problem is, some cable and satellite viewers may not know where truTV falls on their channel listings. But we can help — especially this year with many of the games featuring some of the biggest college basketball programs in the country.

This year, truTV will play host to the very first set of games aptly called the First Four on Tuesday and Wednesday night as well as first and second round games on Thursday, Friday and during the coming weekend.

To find where TruTV falls under your cable or satellite feed, head here to its official channel finder where you can punch in your zip code and the site should list each provider and the corresponding channel in your part of the country.

While some don’t recognize the First Four games as truly part of the tournament, the fact remains the winner advances to the rest of the 68-team field and contend for the national title. The tournament officially tips off with No. 16 seeds Mount St. Mary’s and New Orleans Tuesday night in Dayton, Ohio, for the right to face top overall No. 1 seed and defending champion Villanova.

No. 11s Kansas State and Wake Forest will clash immediately afterward to play No. 6 Southern Methodist on Friday.

No. 16s NC Central and UC-Davis will clash Wednesday for a shot at No. 1 seed Kansas on Friday, followed by No. 11s Southern California and Providence lining up for the opportunity to meet No. 6 seed Cincinnati on Friday as well.

When the first round commences Thursday, some big programs with real shots at deep tournament runs will also be featured on truTV. No. 4 Florida takes on No. 13 East Tennessee State and No. 5 Virginia goes up against No. 12 UNC Wilmington in the East Region, No. 4 Purdue suits up for No. 13 Vermont and No. 5 Iowa State stares down No. 12 Nevada in the Midwest.

TruTV will also carry four games on Friday. No. 6s SMU in the East and Cincinnati in the South Region don’t know their opponents yet, but No. 3 UCLA gets No. 14 Kent State and No. 3 Baylor meets No. 14 Iona.

That’s a ton of action that could make or break anyone’s bracket.
