What does Apple’s indecision to release iPhone 5 mean for HTC?
Apple’s upcoming iPhone 5 is still on its way. Samsung Galaxy S2 has only launched in few parts of the world and still it has attained some kind of a gigantic record.
Apple’s anticipated smartphone is expected sometime in October but nothing is certain for now. HTC, however, is planning to cash in the opportunity to make its products known in the smartphone arena.
Previously, HTC Thunderbolt was launched, but the smartphone failed to make any impact on the market. Lately HTC releases like HTC Sensation and EVO 3D have gained a small momentum in the market.
HTC EVO 3D has to make changes and add several tweaks here and there, and these changes need to happen fast before the two smartphone giants, Apple and Samsung, lock horns and fight their way to the top.
The current version of the HTC EVO 3D, at the moment, is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, Adreno 220 GPU, Qualcomm MSM8660 chipset, which may not be enough to de-throne Apple and Samsung’s processor’s once they hit the market later this year in the US. The HTC-made smartphone’s screen may be larger (4.3-inch) compared to Apple’s iPhone 5 (3.7-inch), but is that enough to rise above Apple’s popularity?
HTC was never known for producing the best smartphone in the market or for the highest detailed camera, although the EVO 3D flashes a 5MP dual LED Flash camera, but is still in race for a smartphone better than most of the companies.
