They are half the size (literally) of the pros and celebrities who usually take the ballroom by storm on “Dancing With the Stars,” but that doesn’t mean the celeb participants on “Dancing with the Stars: Juniors” aren’t making good money on the show. While only one team will walk away with a Mirrorball Trophy and the title of first-ever “Juniors” champs, everyone on the competition stands to earn an impressive paycheck.

Here’s what we know about what the “Dancing With the Stars: Juniors” cast is being paid.

While details of contracts signed by some of the kids competing have been leaked, it appears everyone is being paid on the same sliding scale.

According to TMZ Sports, each celebrity kid participating receives $50,000 as a signing bonus and for competing during the first week. The scale for additional increments begins after the premiere and increases every few episodes. The stars who make it to the final episode ultimately stand to walk away with $130,000 each.

The scale increases as follows:

  • $5,000 bonus per episode for episodes two and three
  • $7,500 bonus per episode for episodes four and five
  • $10,000 bonus per episode for episodes six and seven
  • $15,000 bonus for episode eight
  • $20,000 bonus for the finale episode

Interestingly enough, a provision was added to some contracts for the celebrity participants—most notably, Honey Boo Boo. According to The Blast, at the time of receiving a copy of her contract, the reality star was subjected to a provision that stated if she breaches at any point by divulging spoilers or other information, she is on the hook to pay ABC $1,000,000. At the time, while everyone had to sign confidentiality agreements, she was the only one who had that provision tacked on.

The figures are impressive for these celebrity kids, though it’s unclear what their pro partners stand to make from the show.

The overall numbers are also seemingly on par with the fact that they are much younger than their counterparts competing on Season 27 of “Dancing With the Stars.” The finalists on that show all stand to walk away with up to $345,000 each.
