What Does The Winner Of ‘America’s Next Top Model’ Season 24 Get?
VH1’s “America’s Next Top Model” is gearing up for its sixth episode of Season 24, with 10 models remaining. The contestants are competing not just for the title of top model, but also the grand prize that comes along with it.
The cycle began with 15 models, but five have been eliminated, leaving Brendi K., Christina, Erin, Jeana, Khrystyana, Kyla, Liberty, Rio, Sandra and Shanice standing. The contestant who makes it all the way to the finale and is chosen as the winner will go home with a modeling contract with Next Management, a Paper Magazine fashion spread, and $100,000 from Pantene.
Last season, India Gants, the Cycle 23 winner, received a one-year talent deal with VH1, a commercial feature for Rimmel London, a $100,000 prize, and a spread in Paper Magazine.
Before this year’s top model is crowned, though, she’ll have to make it through quite a few more challenges and photo shoots. The next episode will feature the women taking part in LA Pride week by walking designer Christian Cowan’s rainbow runway. Once that challenge has been completed, the contestants will team up “RuPaul’s Drag Race” queens for a royal photo shoot.
At the end of this episode, as usual, one model will go home, leaving just nine left in the running for the grand prize. While it’s not official what the final two episodes will hold for the girls once they get there, it’s likely that they’ll have to film a Pantene commercial and shoot a spread for Paper Magazine.
This is essentially what happened at the end of Cycle 23. India filmed her Rimmel London feature commercial in the second-to-last episode, which went on to be her official ad once she won the competition. In the finale episode, she took photos for the magazine, which was published after she was crowned.
If that’s how this season runs, the only difference would be the brand change from Rimmel London to Pantene. All will be revealed as the competition continues and the number of remaining models dwindles until there’s only one left standing.
“America’s Next Top Model” airs on VH1 on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EST.
