What Happened To The ‘Breaking Amish’ Cast? 2021 Update Before Premiere
It has been nearly three years since the cast members from TLC’s “Breaking Amish” were seen on screen, and some have made it clear they’re done with the show and won’t be back for future installments. However, that doesn’t mean fans aren’t still curious about their lives.
Rebecca, Abe and Mama Mary Schmucker, as well as Kate Stoltz, are all officially no longer a part of the show, having all left for a variety of reasons, from seeking a more private life to trying to reintegrate into the Amish world or focusing on their other ventures. However, Jeremiah Raber is still actively involved with the show, as is Sabrina Burkholder, who featured on the show’s 2018 season despite nearly dying from a heroin overdose that same year. Of course, involved or not, they are still the original crew who fans watched break out of their Amish lives and embrace the English lifestyles they very much live now, meaning fans will always be curious about what they’re up to. Here’s what they’re all up to in 2021:
Abe and Rebecca Schmucker
The couple, who sought a quieter life raising their two daughters and left the show as a result, has seemingly disappeared from social media, with only a private Instagram profile for Rebecca surfacing and appearing to be updated based on her profile photo. Other accounts have gone dormant, so it’s unclear what the two have been doing, though they were forced to be apart at times in 2020 due to Abe’s job as a truck driver during the Coronavirus Pandemic.
Jeremiah Raber
In addition to still being involved with the show and starring on the 6th season, things seem to be going well for Jeremiah. He is still married to his wife, Carmella, and the two seem to have put their problems behind them. Not only do photos of them on Jeremiah’s Instagram account show them filming, but they also appear to have traveled together as well, with a trip to Texas in February.
Kate Stoltz
Things are still going well for Kate’s fashion design career, with more partnerships and designs. Some featured pieces on her Instagram page, which fans can purchase on her website, including a Pink Crystal Embellished Regenerated Italian Cashmere Sweater for $178.00, a Silver Pearl Embellished Regenerated Italian Cashmere Sweater for $740.00, a Silver Sequin Gown for $4,500.00, face masks ranging in price from $6.99-$39.99 and headbands.
Mama Mary Schmucker
Mama Mary left the show after wanting to get back into the good graces of her Amish church, and while she doesn’t appear on TV any longer, she seems to be at least somewhat active on social media—specifically on Facebook, where she sells Tupperware.
Sabrina Burkholder
As for Sabrina, she has also scrubbed her presence from social media it seems, so it’s unclear how things are going for her, boyfriend Jethro and their two children together, Zekiah and Skylar.
“Return to Amish” airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EST on TLC.
