What 'Jersey Shore' Star Mike Sorrentino's Final Days In Prison Will Look Like
It's the home stretch for "Jersey Shore" star Mike Sorrentino. After serving an eight-month sentence for tax evasion, he is just days away from being a free man again.
Mike, 37, is scheduled to be released on Thursday, Sept. 12, but he won't be able to just stroll out of the prison. He will have to go through a series of procedures before he can return home to his wife, Lauren Pesce, who he married in November 2018.

The MTV star will have to complete release paperwork, change clothes and go through an identification process -- you know, so they don't release the wrong inmate -- according to the Receiving and Discharge Manual obtained from the U.S. Department of Justice Federal Bureau of Prisons per Radar Online.
A spokesperson from the Federal Bureau of Prison told the entertainment news site that the process “doesn’t take long,” and that he will be released during normal business hours of the Otisville Federal Correctional Facility, where he served time.
Although Mike will be finished with his prison sentence, he will still be paying for his crimes for quite a while. NBC News reported that he will also serve two years of supervised release, 500 hours of community service and pay a $10,000 fine.
