Looking forward to watching some newly dropped movies and series? Here's a list that covers all the best ones that are coming out this weekend, from animated to sci-fi. Some of these, you can watch from comfort of your home while others can be enjoyed with a tub of popcorn on the big screen in theaters.
Top Gun: Maverick
"Top Gun: Maverick" revolves around the story of Maverick who teaches a new batch of new pilots to go on a deadly mission that needs an ultimate sacrifice. It is the second installment of the 1986 movie titled "Top Gun."
Directed by Joseph Kosinski, the sequel stars Tom Cruise, Val Kilmer, Jennifer Connelly, Miles Teller, Glen Powell and Monica Barbaro. The movie is available in theaters.
Stranger Things 4 : Vol 1
Love watching sci-fi drama? The popular "Stranger Things" fourth installment's vol. 1 is streaming on Netflix now. The series revolves around a group of friends who are struggling with the aftermath of destruction to Hawkins and they are separate for the first time in this season.
The cast includes Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown and Gaten Matarazzo. The new season is helmed by director Shawn Levy and written by Paul Dichter.
The Bob's Burgers Movie
"The Bob's Burgers Movie" is a comedy musical animated movie that is available in theaters. It revolves around the family that plans to make their summer successful by making their family's restaurant grow.
Several actors including Kristen Schaal, H. Jon Benjamin, Dan Mintz and Zach Galifianakis lent their voices for various characters.
Obi-Wan Kenobi
"Obi-Wan Kenobi" is a six-part limited series, of which the first two episodes premiered on Disney+ and the finale of the series is slated to release on June 22. The series revolves around Jedi Master who helps a young Luke Skywalker fight against the evil Sith Lord, Darth Vader.
The Star Wars spin-off is helmed by director Deborah Chow and stars Hayden Christensen, Ewan McGregor, Rupert Friend, Joel Edgerton, Moses Ingram and Sung Kang.
