What Will ‘DWTS’ Team Perform For New York And Las Vegas Week?
“Dancing With the Stars” fans are getting a double dose of the fun this week, as the remaining 12 teams take to the stage to perform two special routines—before one team is forced to say goodbye to the competition thanks to an elimination.
Week 2 of the Season 27 competition will be a fun one for the ABC show, as two great American cities are honored by the teams. On Monday night, teams will Argentine Tango, Foxtrot, Cha Cha, Samba, Charleston, Quickstep or Waltz to routines meant to reflect New York City. They will then take to the floor again on Tuesday night to either Salsa, Quickstep, Jive, Jazz, Foxtrot, Samba, Tango, Paso Doblé or Cha Cha to Las Vegas themed routines, before one pair is forced to say goodbye after being eliminated.
According to an ABC press release, the couple eliminated will be determined by a combination of judges’ scores from both nights, as well as viewer votes cast following Monday’s show.
So what will the Season 27 pairs perform in these two episodes? Here are the routines:
Monday (New York City Night):
- Alexis Ren and Alan Bersten (#TeamRenTen): After being forced to dance two jives to save themselves from potential elimination and impressing the judges both times, Alexis and Alan will likely turn their attention to capturing America’s vote with an Argentine Tango to “Swan Lake” by Ray Chew Live.
- Bobby Bones and Sharna Burgess (#TeamBeautyandtheGeek): After scoring 20 points for an “Exquisitely Demented” jive, the pair will now focus on a Foxtrot set to the “Theme from New York, New York” by Frank Sinatra.
- Danelle Umstead and Artem Chigvintsev (#TeamBlindFaith): The blind Alpine skier and her partner will seek to continue inspiring with their Cha Cha to Taylor Swift’s “Welcome to New York.”
- DeMarcus Ware and Lindsay Arnold (#TeamWaresOurMirrorBall): After tying for the best scores of the night in Week one, DeMarcus and Lindsay will look to claim the top spot entirely for themselves with a Foxtrot to “Boy from New York City” by The Manhattan Transfer.
- Evanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe (#TeamKevanna): The actress will seek to enchant with a Samba to “Can’t Touch It” by Ricki-Lee.
- Joe Amabile and Jenna Johnson (#TeamCHECKusOUT): Seeking to redeem themselves with the judges after earning a low 14 points in Week one, the pair will perform a Foxtrot to “New York State of Mind” by Matt Beilis.
- John Schneider and Emma Slater (#TeamSuperDuke): The pair will perform a Charleston to “New York’s My Home” by Sammy Davis Jr.
- Juan Pablo di Pace and Cheryl Burke (#TeamChernando): The “Fuller House” star will likely try to claim the top spot with a Quickstep to “42nd Street” by Cherry Poppin’ Daddies.
- Mary Lou Retton and Sasha Farber (#TeamStickIt): Featuring a live performance from Sarah Bockel of the Broadway musical “Beautiful: The Carole King Musical,” the two will Waltz to “Natural Woman.”
- Milo Manheim and Witney Carson (#TeamWitlo): The two will perform a Charleston to “Living in New York City” by Robin Thicke.
- Nancy McKeon and Val Chmerkovskiy (#TeamMcVal): The team will Cha Cha to “Uptown Girl” by Billy Joel.
- Tinashe and Brandon Armstrong (#TeamFireandFlames): The singer will try to claim the top spot with an Argentine Tango to “New Dorp. New York” by SBTRKT featuring Ezra Koenig.
Tuesday (Las Vegas Night):
- Alexis and Alan: Salsa to “Booty” by Jennifer Lopez featuring Iggy Azalea.
- Bobby and Sharna: Quickstep to “That Old Black Magic” by Sammy Davis Jr.
- Danelle and Artem: Quickstep to “Luck Be a Lady,” which will be performed live by Donny Osmond.
- DeMarcus and Lindsay: Quickstep to “Ladies Man,” which will be performed live by Boyz II Men.
- Evanna and Keo: Jive to ”Heat Wave” by Martha Reeves & the Vandellas.
- Joe and Jenna: Jazz to “The Gambler” by Kenny Rogers.
- John and Emma: Jive to “King Creole” by Elvis Presley.
- Juan Pablo and Cheryl: Foxtrot to “Why Don’t You Do Right?” by Peggy Lee.
- Mary Lou and Sasha: Samba to “Copacabana (At the Copa)” by Barry Manilow.
- Milo and Witney: Tango to “Ashes” by Celine Dion.
- Nancy and Val: Paso Doblé to “Storm from KÀ” by Cirque du Soleil.
- Tinashe and Brandon: Cha Cha to “Circus” by Circus by Britney Spears.
“Dancing With the Stars” airs Monday and Tuesday at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
