What Will 'DWTS" Teams Perform For Week 6 'Movie Night' Routines?
They recently had fun bringing the magic of Disney to life on the dance floor, and now, the Season 25 "Dancing With the Stars" teams will bring movie magic to the ballroom for Week 6 of the competition, which will be themed as "A Night at the Movies.'
The ABC reality competition will have the remaining nine teams dance to various songs in a tribute to movie genres for the night of competition, with each team expected to find some way to incorporate their assigned genre into their usual routine. The theme is one that was previously introduced during Season 24, Week 7, and saw the team with the highest judge's total in scores receive immunity from that night's elimination. It is unclear if such a reward will be given during this season's competition.
Regardless, the night's theme will certainly force the pairs to amp up their levels of creativity, as some of the genres and dance styles will definitely require a clever mind when it comes to fusing them together into a phenomenal routine. Here's what the remaining teams will perform, as per Buddy TV:
Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold (#TeamFishUponAStar): After earning the first perfect scores of the season, Jordan and Lindsay will attempt to keep that trend going with a Rumba set to "Supermarket Flowers" by Ed Sheeran. Their dance will need to properly portray drama movies.
Frankie Muniz and Witney Carson (#TeamFranniePack): After landing in jeopardy at the end of Disney night, Frankie and Witney will try to prove just how much they belong in the competition with an animation themed Jazz routine to "Holly Rock" by Sheila E.
Lindsey Stirling and Mark Ballas (#TeamSTARK): Lindsey and Mark will need to prove they can be exceedingly creative when they put their heads together for a Sci-Fi themed Argentine Tango. They will perform the routine to "Human" by Sevdaliza.
Victoria Arlen and Valentin Chmerkovskiy (#TeamViVA): Victoria and Val will also have a unique challenge for the week, as they attempt to perform a Paso Doble with a sports movie theme, to "We Will Rock You" by Queen.
Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev (#TeamSmackdown): The WWE wrestler and her partner, who received their first 9's during Disney week, will turn their attention towards 10's with a Foreign film themed Argentine Tango to "Derniere Danse" by Indila.
Drew Scott and Emma Slater (#TeamHotProperty): Drew and Emma are set to perform an action movie themed Paso Doble to "Legend" by The Score.
Terrell Owens and Cheryl Burke (#TeamGetchaPopcorn): Terrell and Cheryl will perform a Jive to "Feel It Still" by Portugal. The Man. Their movie genre will be spy movies.
Vanessa Lachey and Maks Chmerkovskiy (#TeamBabiesandBallroom): After finding themselves near the bottom of the leaderboard for the first time, Maks and Vanessa will need to bring out all the stops in their Musical themed performance. They will dance a Quickstep to "Let's Be Bad" from "Smash."
Nick Lachey and Peta Murgatroyd (#TeamMomandPops): After landing at the bottom of the leaderboard for the second week in a row, Nick and Peta will try to improve their scores with a Western Themed Samba to "Wild Wild West" by Dru Hill, Will Smith and Kool Mo Dee.
