“Shameless” Season 9 is not here for much longer. The Showtime dramedy is coming to an end on Sunday, and one Gallagher is saying goodbye for good.

The synopsis for Season 9, episode 14 reveals that the family will figure out how to handle Frank’s (William H. Macy) broken leg, and they’ll surely come up with something creative. “In the Season 9 finale, the Gallaghers decide what to do with a bedridden Frank,” the summary teases.

His kids are a little more concerned with their romantic drama. Carl (Ethan Cutkosky) and Debbie (Emma Kenney) have both been rejected by Kelly (Jess Gabor) while Lip’s (Jeremy White) girlfriend is pregnant. “Carl and Debbie share their heartbreak together; and Lip has to deal with a distressed Tami,” the finale synopsis reveals.

The logline does not, however, reveal much about how Fiona (Emmy Rossum) will leave “Shameless.” “Fiona has to make a decision about her future,” the vague description says.

It isn’t clear what will bring about this big decision, but viewers know that she’ll come into a bunch of money. The retirement home she invested in is finally moving forward and one of the partners is offering to buy her out now. That’s $100,000 in Fiona’s bank account. Where will the money allow her to go?

In any case, it doesn’t sound like Fiona will be gone forever. “I think Emmy will come back and make a guest appearance before this thing sets sail. She better, otherwise I’m gonna grab her by the ear and bring her back,” Macy joked with Variety.

Rossum announced her departure in a Facebook post last year. “I know you will continue on without me, for now,” she wrote to fans on Aug. 30, 2018. “There is much more Gallagher story to be told. I will always be rooting for my family. Try not to think of me as gone, just think of me as moving down the block.”

The show will continue without her. Showtime recently renewed “Shameless” for its tenth season.

The “Shameless” Season 9 finale airs Sunday at 9 p.m. EST on Showtime.
