Two people were killed in a shooting at a college near Dallas Wednesday, the latest in a string of unrelated attacks plaguing the state this week.

Police responded to reports of a shooter at North Lake College in Irving, Texas, shortly before noon Wednesday morning. Upon arrival, two bodies were found inside a building on the campus. Irving police confirmed that a gunman had shot someone before committing suicide. Both were confirmed dead and identities were not released.

"There appears to be no continuing threat but police will continue to search to make the campus safe," police said on Twitter.

An attack Tuesday at Brewer High School in Fort Worth left a 15-year-old student in critical condition, according to Fort Worth Police. An 18-year-old student pulled out a knife while fighting with the younger student at lunch and slashed him in the neck. The campus was quickly locked down and students were kept inside classrooms while police investigated the incident.

On Monday, a student armed with a hunting knife stabbed at least four people at the University of Texas. One person was killed, identified as Harrison Brown, while the other three people were seriously injured.

The suspect, identified as 21-year-old Kendrex J. White, surrendered to police, according to ABC's Austin affiliate KTRK.

"The guy was standing next to me," Rachel Prichett, a student at the school, told KTRK. "He grabbed him by the shoulder and shoved the knife in it. I just started running as fast as I could."

Officers confronted him at gunpoint and he did not resist, according to reports. The three people injured were taken to nearby hospitals where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

In another incident Monday morning, a gunman shot a paramedic in Dallas while the paramedic was treating another person with a gunshot wound. The paramedic was taken to a nearby hospital for surgery and remained in critical but stable condition.

The suspect was found in a nearby home by a police robot, dead from a self-inflicted wound, according to Dallas police. Another body was also found in the home, though the identity of the second person was not released.

Interim Dallas Police Chief David Pughes described it as a "simple dispute between two neighbors that escalated into a shooting."

Police identified the suspect as Derrick Lamont Brown, according to CNN.

"They were trying to take care of a citizen," Dallas-Fire Rescue Department Chief David Coatney told reporters. "Unfortunately, we had a tragic event where they were shot at."
