What’s On Shark Week Tonight? See Discovery’s Tuesday TV Schedule
Discovery Channel’s 31st annual Shark Week continues on Tuesday with several new specials. The programs will investigate crashing into shark-infested waters, shark attack reenactments and a newly discovered battleground for sharks and their prey. Find out what’s on Shark Week 2019 tonight (all times are EDT):
7 p.m. — “The Sharks of Headstone Hell: Sharmania” — This special, produced by Icon Films, premiered last night, but expect the Sharkmania edition to include even more fun facts. Experts head to Norfolk Island where locals have been throwing full size animal carcasses into the sea. They investigate the effect this has had on the large tiger shark population.
8 p.m. — “Sharkwrecked: Crash Landing” — This special is back, and this year’s edition takes Shark Week experts to Palau in the Pacific, an area known for sharks and plane wrecks. That’s perfect because Paul de Gelder and James Glancy will bail out of an aircraft at 3500 feet to see what it’s like to crash into some of the world’s most shark-infested waters. This special was produced by Big Wave Productions.
9 p.m. — “Laws of Jaws: Dangerous Waters” — Experts Paul de Gelder, Mike Dornellas, Nick LeBeouf and Jamin Martinelli reenact five shark attacks to determine what could have gone differently. They learn what to do when surrounded by blood and investigate if electronics make attacks more likely in this hour, produced by Lucky 8.
10 p.m. — “Air Jaws Strikes Back” — Chris Fallows and a team of experts inspect a newly discovered battleground. Sharks are stalking seals at the base of a 200-foot cliff, but these seals are smart. They’ve started teaming up for counter attacks, which fascinates the researchers. Shark Entertainment produced this installment.
11 p.m. — “Shark After Dark” — The official after show continues with host Rob Riggle. Sarah Tiana, co-host of the Riggle’s Picks podcast, and comedian Adam Carolla will help bring the laughs while filmmaker Jeff Kurr brings the shark expertise. The after show, which is produced by Vandam Productions for Embassy Row, also includes Jauz as the nightly DJ.
Shark Week airs every night on Discovery Channel through Saturday.
