‘When Calls The Heart’ Alum Daniel Lissing Engaged; See Sweet Announcement
Daniel Lissing got married on Hallmark Channel’s “When Calls the Heart” in 2018, before later departing the show, but now he’s ready to do it all again, this time as himself, not as a character. Lissing is engaged to his girlfriend, Nadia!
The actor made the exciting announcement on Instagram on Wednesday, writing, “Happy news to share... I get to marry the love of my life,” alongside a photo of him and his new fiancé kissing, with a diamond ring on her finger. She shared a close-up of the ring on her own Instagram, writing, “Couldn’t imagine spending my life with anyone else.”
His former “WCTH” co-stars were quick to congratulate him on his post, with Andrea Brooks (Faith) writing “Congrats,” and Aren Buchholz (Jesse Flynn), penning “Holy! Congrats buddy.” Fellow Hallmark star Candace Cameron Bure gave her well-wishes with a like on the photo.
Erin Krakow, who plays Lissing’s widow, Elizabeth Thornton, on “When Calls the Heart,” hasn’t commented on the news yet, but she’ll likely do so soon as the two are still close and often comment on each other’s social media posts and talk about each other in interviews.
Not much information is known about Lissing’s wife-to-be, but the two have been dating since at least Dec. 15, 2018, which is when the “WCTH” alum started posting photos of them together.
Lissing is best known for his role as Jack Thornton on “When Calls the Heart.” He’s also starred in multiple Hallmark movies, including “Christmas in Love” and “A December Bride.” Most recently, he could be seen on CBS’ “S.W.A.T.” as Ty.
