‘When Calls The Heart’ Season 6 Finale Spoilers: What Happens In Episode 9? [Preview]

After quite a bit of “When Calls the Heart” drama off-screen — Lori Loughlin’s (Abigail) college cheating scandal, her exit from the series and the show’s subsequent midsesason hiatus — fans finally got new Season 6 episodes at the start of May.

Now, only a few weeks later, it’s time to say goodbye again (only for now, as the show’s already been renewed for Season 7!) because the Season 6 finale airs tonight.

Titled “Two of Hearts,” episode 9 was directed by Martin Wood and written by Alfonso H. Moreno and Annie Brunner. It finds Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) contemplating both her and baby Jack’s futures.

“With the excitement of the Hope Valley Founder’s Day Festival in the air, Elizabeth holds a christening for baby Jack, with sister Julie (Charlotte Hegele), Bill (Jack Wagner), Rosemary (Pascale Hutton) and Lee (Kavan Smith) standing alongside her,” the synopsis reveals. “Meanwhile, Jesse (Aren Buchholz) plans a surprise for Clara (Eva Bourne).”

From the Season 6, episode 9 promo video, it seems like a proposal might be happening in Hope Valley.

“Will you dance with me,” Jesse asks Clara, “for the rest of your life?”

This isn’t the only relationship that might be taking the next step.

While at the Founder’s Day Festival dance, Rosemary announces, in the “When Calls the Heart” trailer, it’s time for a Ladies’ Choice song. This leads to both Mountie Nathan (Kevin McGarry) and Lucas (Chris McNally) making their presence known to Elizabeth, which only makes her nervous about the choice they likely want her to make.

The cast for the episode also includes Martin Cummins (Henry Gowen), Johannah Newmarch (Molly Sullivan), Hrothgar Mathews (Ned Yost), Loretta Walsh (Florence Blakeley), Kayla Wallace (Fiona Miller), Jocelyn Hudon (Grace), Paul Greene (Dr. Carson Shepherd), Katie Hall (Jill Hayes), Daniel Arnold (Jed) Clayton James Chitty (Kevin Townsend), Michael Girardin (Pastor Simon) and Sheri Rabold (Bertha Hayward).

The Season 6 finale of “When Calls the Heart” airs on Hallmark Channel on Sunday at 9 p.m. EDT.
