Catch “When Calls the Heart” on a special day and time when it airs a brand new episode tonight at 8 p.m. EDT.

Season 6 of the Hallmark Channel drama started up again Sunday night, and it offered an explanation for Abigail’s (Lori Loughlin) absence, as well as an introduction to Kevin McGarry’s Mountie Nathan Grant.

Not even 24 hours later, Hearties are getting another new “When Calls the Heart.”

In Season 6, episode 5, titled “Surprise,” Hope Valley’s shaken up by both an earthquake and some new relationships.

“Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) steps in to help Nathan’s (Kevin McGarry) strong-willed niece connect to her new classmates,” the synopsis reveals.

Only looking to help Nathan’s family situation, Elizabeth explains to him in the preview trailer that “children need stability.”

“We’re fine, thank you,” he replies, clearly not happy about her trying to butt in.

Elsewhere during the episode, “Bill (Jack Wagner) contemplates an interesting job offer. Gowen (Martin Cummins) makes a compelling offer of his own to Jesse (Aren Buchholz) and Clara (Eva Bourne). Meanwhile, Carson (Paul Greene) and Faith (Andrea Brooks) grow closer.”

The episode was directed by Mike Rohl and written by Alfonso H. Moreno and Annie Brunner.

The cast also includes Pascale Hutton (Rosemary Coulter), Kavan Smith (Leland “Lee” Coulter), Johannah Newmarch (Molly Sullivan), Loretta Walsh (Florence Blakeley), Ben Rosenbaum (Mike Hickam) and Chris McNally (Lucas Bouchard).

Enjoy the new episode of “When Calls the Heart” on Monday on Hallmark Channel at 8 p.m. EDT.
