‘When Calls The Heart’ Star Pascale Hutton Gives Season 6 Update
It’s been three weeks since Hearties have seen a new Season 6 episode of “When Calls the Heart,” but it might not be much longer before the Hallmark Channel show returns.
The period drama went on an unplanned hiatus a few weeks ago to allow the network to figure out how to retool the series without star Lori Loughlin (Abigail). The actress was dropped from all Hallmark projects after getting arrested in connection to the college admissions scandal.
Hallmark and the show’s co-creator, Brian Bird, have assured fans that “When Calls the Heart” isn’t canceled, it’s just going on a break for a bit until they can figure out if they will cut out the character of Abigail completely or recast the role with another actress and how they will retool the rest of the Season 6 episodes, which have already been filmed.
Fans have been impatiently waiting to hear news on when the return date might be, and, on Sunday, which is usually when the show airs, star Pascale Hutton (Rosemary) gave fans a small update.
“Thank you #hearties for your support and love and mostly your PATIENCE,” she shared on Instagram. “I promise we will be back on the air and in your homes soon.”
The post got some support, in the form of likes, from fellow Hallmark stars, including Lacey Chabert and “When Calls the Heart” alum Daniel Lissing (Jack). Holly Robinson Peete also commented on the post with the prayer hand and heart emojis, while “WCTH” actress Ava Grace Cooper (Opal) used a couple of the heart emojis to show her support of the show they both work on.
Hutton didn’t offer Hearties a concrete air date for Season 6, episode 4, but she did help to reassure fans that “When Calls the Heart” is coming back, and that the wait won’t be much longer.
