When Does ‘Insatiable’ Season 2 Come Out? Netflix Release Date Revealed

A year after “Insatiable” Season 1 dropped on Netflix, the streaming service has finally revealed when the controversial satire series will return with Season 2.

Debby Ryan stars on the show as Patty, a formerly-overweight teenager trying to move past being bullied for her appearance by training for pageants now that she’s thin. As this is a dark comedy, that goal of Patty’s turns out to not be so easy, and there’s a lot of tragedy and drama during her journey.

The cast of the Lauren Gussis-created series also includes Dallas Roberts (Bob Armstrong), Kimmy Shields (Nonnie), Erinn Westbrook (Magnolia), Alyssa Milano (Coralee), Christopher Gorham (Bob Barnard), Michael Provost (Brick), Irene Choie (Dixie), Arden Myrin (Regina) and Sarah Colonna (Angie).

Netflix revealed on Wednesday that Season 2 of “Insatiable” will come out on Oct. 11, which means fans will get to see what happens next after the intense Season 1 finale.

What exactly is going to happen next? While fans will have to wait a few more weeks to find out, Ryan told International Business Times last year what she wanted to happen in the new episodes.

After a season full of kidnappings, murders, attempted murders and a lot of personal journeys for each of the characters, Ryan’s ready to see where Patty will go in Season 2 and is “interested in exploring the places that Patty continues to look” to fill the void inside her, left behind after growing up being bullied and with family issues.

The Disney Channel alum explained how she and her friends have looked in many places to fill certain voids in their lives, with some finding “great success based off of this hole within them that is never enough and constantly looking,” while others have been hospitalized or “made their mothers feel like failures.”

With her real-life experience of trying to fill voids, and after seeing where her character searched in the first season, Ryan is “interested to see where Patty looks [next].”
