When Does ‘Schitt’s Creek’ Come Back? Netflix Release, TV Premiere Dates Revealed
“Schitt’s Creek” fans are lucky. Whether they watch on Pop TV or they wait for each season on Netflix, Schittheads can start counting down the days to new episodes.
Pop TV announced the final season of “Schitt’s Creek” will start airing in early 2020. “Schitt’s Creek” Season 6 premieres Tuesday, Jan. 7 at 9 p.m. EDT on Pop TV in the U.S. and CBC in Canada. New episodes will air each week on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. The final season will include 14 episodes.
“Schitt’s Creek” Season 5 finished airing on Pop TV in April, but that doesn’t mean everyone has seen it. Some wait for each new season to start streaming. Luckily, fans don’t have to wait much longer for Netflix to drop Season 5.
“Schitt’s Creek” Season 5 will release on Netflix on Tuesday, Oct. 10, so plan to take the day off and binge-watch all 14 episodes of the Canadian-American sitcom. New releases are usually added to the service around 3 a.m. EDT.
The show was planned to end in Season 6 long ago, but it’s safe to say that it’s going out at its peak. The half-hour single-camera sitcom is getting more praise than ever and earned its first Emmy nominations.
Those nods aren’t in small categories either. Eugene Levy is up for best lead actor in a comedy series while Catherine O’Hara is nominated for best lead actress in a comedy series. “Schitt’s Creek” is also nominated for outstanding contemporary costumes, but the biggest nomination is for best comedy series. It’s competing against “Veep,” “Russian Doll,” “Barry,” “Fleabag,” “The Good Place” and “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.” The Primetime Emmys will be broadcast live on Sept. 22.
