The U.S. Men's National Soccer Team has kept its 2022 World Cup hopes alive, advancing to the knockout stage. After defeating Iran 1-0 in the final match of group play, a showdown with the Netherlands awaits Team USA.

When does the USA play next? The Americans are scheduled to take on the Netherlands on Saturday at Qatar's Khalifa International Stadium at 10 a.m. ET. Fox will broadcast the match on TV.

The USA has three full days off in between its final group-stage match Tuesday and its match in the Round of 16. It should be enough time for Christian Pulisic to recover from the pelvic contusion that he suffered while scoring the game-winning goal against Iran. Pulisic is listed as "day-to-day," but he said that he'll be ready to play Saturday.

Ties with Wales and England, along with a victory over Iran, were good enough for the USA to place second in Group B with five points. England won Group B by defeating Iran and Wales. The USA couldn't have reached the knockout stage without a win against Iran.

The Netherlands won Group A with seven points. After defeating Senegal 2-0 and tying Ecuador 1-1, the Netherlands bested Qatar 2-0 Tuesday.

The USA has qualified for the knockout stage in three straight World Cup appearances. In both 2010 and 2014, the USA lost its Round of 16 match because of a goal in extra time. The USA didn't qualify for the 2018 World Cup.

Group play concludes Friday. The USA and Netherlands are the first match on the schedule for the knockout stage. The Group D winner will take on the Group C runner-up in Saturday's second and final match.

The two teams that win Saturday are scheduled to meet in the World Cup quarterfinals on Friday, Dec. 9.
