After crowning Maelyn Jarmon the winner of “The Voice” Season 16, fans are anxious for the Season 17 premiere. When the NBC show returns, viewers will see a new line up on the judges’ panel.

While long-time coach Blake Shelton will return for his seventeenth consecutive season, Adam Levine will not be returning to the series. The Maroon 5 frontman announced his plans to leave the singing competition following “The Voice” Season 16.

When the show premieres on Sept. 23, fans will see Shelton on the judges’ panel alongside Gwen Stefani, Kelly Clarkson and John Legend.

On May 24, Levine announced his departure from the show in a heartfelt Instagram post and told fans it was time for him to “move on.”

“About 8 years ago, Mark Burnett convinced us to sign up for this show where you sit in a big red chair with your back turned away from the singers on the stage. First, thank you must go to Mark. We had no idea what we were doing or where it was going,” he started off the caption.

“After the first day of shooting, I sat there, stunned. I said to myself, ‘there’s some magic here. Something is definitely happening.’ It went on to be a life-shaping experience that will be close to my heart forever,” he added.

Levine went on to praise the network for giving him a life-changing opportunity. “Thank you, NBC for signing me up. I am truly honored to have been a part of something I’ll always cherish for the rest of my life,” he wrote.

Although Shelton previously told Entertainment Tonight it was “weird” to do the show without Levine, he revealed he “couldn't be happier” that his girlfriend, Stefani would be replacing the “Sugar” singer.

“The Voice” Season 17 premieres Monday, Sept. 23 at 8 p.m. EDT on NBC.
