Will “Scream” get a third season? Viewers are still hoping to receive good news from MTV ahead of the October Halloween special. While fans patiently wait for an update, Netflix is making the second season of the series available for binge watching.

The subscription streaming service revealed earlier this week that all 12 episodes of Season 2 will be available for viewers to binge watch starting on Friday, Sept. 30. This is great news for fans that want to get caught up or relive the gory drama ahead of the upcoming 2-hour special.

“Scream” originally premiered on June 30, 2015 with a 10-episode first season. According to The Wrap, the pilot became the “most-watched new series premiere of the summer on cable for Millennials.” MTV picked up the show for a second season a month later. Season 2 debuted on May 30, 2016, but despite developing a dedicated fan base, the series couldn’t scare up the same numbers.

MTV has yet to make an announcement about a Season 3 renewal. The Season 2 finale concluded in mid-August with Piper’s (Amelia Rose Blaire) accomplice behind bars for the recent slayings in Lakewood. However, it also introduced a new twist should the series get picked up. Although the cliffhanger could be addressed during the 2-hour Halloween episode, some fans have started online petitions to urge Netflix to pick up “Scream” for a third season. A petition on Change.Org currently has over 3,200 supporters.

The “Scream” Halloween special airs on MTV this October. You can catch Season 2 on Netflix starting Friday, Sept. 30.
