Where Is Courtney Roland? Missing Reporter Followed By Mystery Man, Roommate Says
Texas journalist Courtney Roland was supposed to meet up with her roommate Saturday but she never showed up.
Roland, 29, who works as a sports reporter for AggieYell.com, was last seen around 4 p.m. local time (5 p.m. EST). She was last seen wearing a Remington hat and camouflage and driving a 2010 white Jeep Cherokee.
According to a tweet from Team Texas Elite, Roland had taken an Uber and was heading back home from a football camp in Houston, Texas. According to Roland’s roommate, Autumn Vara, she reached her home and then left in her car.
Vara told NBC affiliated KPRC that Roland texted her around midnight that a man she had seen at a drug store in Walgreens, Texas, was following her in a blue pickup truck. The truck looped around and parked behind her vehicle when Roland parked her car in the driveway of her house. The truck sped off as soon as Roland got out of her car.
The roommate added that she did not hear from Roland after that. Roland’s mother reportedly received a text on her phone Sunday that read: “Hello the owner of this phone Courtney. I am buying an iPad."
According to Vara Roland had been on high alert ever since her car was broken into a more than a month ago.
