The White House has announced Melania Trump's next appearance.

President Donald Trump’s wife has been largely out of sight amid the coronavirus outbreak. She canceled her fundraising event in California due to “scheduling conflicts“ and has never been seen after that.

According to the White House, the FLOTUS will appear in a series of public service announcements (PSAs) that will broadcast “the most important ways Americans can protect themselves and those most at risk,” CNN first reported

The White House is partnering with media networks, digital platforms and AdCouncil for the PSAs. Aside from Melania, surgeon general Jerome M. Adams, Dr. Anthony Fauci, Dr. Deborah Birx and “other administration officials” will be featured in the PSAs.

Prior to the announcement, many were wondering where the FLOTUS was or what she has done in response to the pandemic. CNN correspondent Kate Bennett said that Melania has been “largely out of sight on the crisis.” CNN contributor and author Kate Andersen Brower also commented on the FLOTUS’ absence and encouraged her to follow the example of the former first ladies.

Laura Bush delivered weekly presidential radio address after the 9/11 attack. Eleanor Roosevelt also summoned empathy and increased the support for the war effort after the Pearl Harbor bombing.

“I think Melania could look at what Eleanor Roosevelt did and talk about her own fears, for her own family, and help people 'rise above,' the crisis, as Roosevelt said in her radio address after Pearl Harbor,” she said.

“Melania's 'Be Best' campaign is focused on children so this is an opportunity for her to offer parents suggestions for how to talk to their children, many of whom are home from school for weeks.”

Meanwhile, Chrissy Teigen attacked the FLOTUS and questioned her efforts. John Legend’s wife even called Melania a “wifebot” and said that all she saw from the FLOTUS was how she wore capes at various events including her controversial “I don’t care do you” jacket.

“Has melania even thought about doing something with her be best [explicit] during these times? I see regular [explicit] awesome people on my timeline all day doing all they can to make people happy and this wifebot is working on whatever the [explicit] a tennis gazebo is,” Teigen wrote on Twitter.
