Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder, who played brothers on "The Vampire Diaries," star in separate shows that premiere on Dec. 5. CBS All Access; The CW; Netflix

“The Vampire Diaries” ended in 2017, but the actors haven’t left TV. In fact, some stars from the CW drama are returning to the small screen this week.

Ian Somerhalder — The Damon Salvatore actor is starring in another vampire drama. “V-Wars” hits Netflix Thursday, and Somerhalder plays a scientist investigating the virus suddenly turning people into bloodsuckers.

Paul Wesley — After Stefan Salvatore’s heroic death, Wesley teamed up with “Vampire Diaries” executive producer Kevin Williamson for CBS All Access’ “Tell Me A Story.” Season 2 of the psychological thriller premieres Thursday.

Wesley and Somerhalder are also still working together. In October, they announced a new bourbon brand. No release date has been announced yet.

Nina Dobrev — Since departing “Vampire Diaries,” the Elena Gilbert actress has starred in quite a few films, most recently October’s “Lucky Day,” an action movie. Next up is “Sick Girl,” a comedy in which she’ll be the leading lady as well as executive producer. Dobrev also recently announced a partnership with Dior Beauty.

Kat Graham — She isn’t playing Bonnie Bennett anymore, but Graham is still playing a butt-kicking woman. She voices April O’Neil in Nickelodeon’s “Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.” She has two more live-action projects coming up, the crime movie “Cut Throat City” and the drama “Emperor.”

Candice King — After playing Caroline Forbes-Salvatore, King reprised her role on “The Originals,” and she’s often mentioned (but hasn’t been seen yet) on “Legacies.” King hosts the podcast “Directionally Challenged” with fellow “Vampire Diaries” alum Kayla Ewell. She’ll star in the “After” sequel, “After We Collided,” in 2020.

Matt Davis — The Alaric Saltzman actor is now busy playing…Alaric Saltzman. It’s been 10 years since Ric first showed up in Mystic Falls on “The Vampire Diaries,” and now he stars in the spinoff “Legacies.” He also starred in Hallmark’s “Christmas Wishes & Mistletoe Kisses” earlier this month.

Zach Roerig — He briefly appeared on “Legacies” last season, and the Matt Donovan actor can next be seen in January’s Vietnam war drama, “The Last Full Measure.”

Michael Trevino — The actor isn’t playing Tyler Lockwood anymore, but he’s still on The CW. He stars as Kyle Valenti on “Roswell, New Mexico.” Season 2 premieres in 2020.
