Xur This Week
Xur is selling a fresh stock of exotic items this weekend in "Destiny." Bungie

The Crimson Days themed event may be over, but "Destiny" players can look forward to another weekend with Xur. The merchant is back selling exotic items and engrams for a limited time beginning at 5 a.m. EST Friday. Xur will close his shop and return to parts unknown on Sunday at 5 a.m. EST.

Xur can be found in the Tower to the left in front of the door in the open plaza. With all the fanfare of the Valentine's Day-themed event, Xur's items could be considered a disappointment by many players. After back-to-back weeks where Xur had a weapon for sale, last weekend featured armor, an Exotic Engram and a Legacy Engram. The armor trend continues this week with Xur selling helmets and gauntlets.

The best exotic item Xur has for sale this week is the Taikonaut, which has the Air Traffic Control perk that increases heavy ammo drops and gives rocket launchers tracking ability. The Exotic Engram is for a Year Two helmet.

Another Iron Banner tournament is scheduled for Feb. 23 with new weapons and armor. PS4 users will get exclusive armor for competing in the tournament.There are no further updates on the "Destiny" expansion announced last week, but Bungie announced it created a makeshift Twitch studio to better communicate with fans. The streams, beginning in March, would include playthroughs and game reveals.
