Which Country has Hosted the Most Olympics?
The Olympics were started by the ancient Greeks and held in honor of Zeus, but they have come a long way since 700 B.C.
The games now happen all around the world, and any nation is able to put its name in the running for future events. Certainly not every country has hosted the event in the modern-era of games' 123 year history. Asia has only hosted three Summer Olympics and one (soon to be two) Winter Olympics, and until the upcompin Rio games, South America has yet to host either.
With the annoucement Wednesday that the 2018 Winter Olympics will be held in Pyeongchang, South Korea, the IBTimes was curious as to which country had hosted the most Summer and Winter Olympics in the games' modern history.
