Which ‘Star Wars’ Prop Is Worth $1 Million? ‘Pawn Stars’ Looks At Memorabilia
The past few weeks have been flooded by “Star Wars” and its many galaxies-worth of content. From the massively successful Disney Plus series “The Mandalorian” to the final chapter in the Skywalker saga “The Rise of Skywalker,” Disney has maintained a “Star Wars”-studded holiday season, and it will only continue with “Pawn Stars.”
Revealed by Entertainment Weekly, the upcoming “Pawn Stars” “Star Wars” episode will be titled “May the Pawn Be With You.” The new episode airing on Monday night will showcase some of the most memorable and long-lasting artifacts from the original “Star Wars” movies, such as Han Solo’s iconic blaster, which may well be worth an estimated $1 million.
“Whenever you think of Han Solo, you think of the gun. It’s always at his side,” said U.K. authenticator Steve Grad. The authenticator related that the “Star Wars” prop originally cost around “two or three hundred” to make.
“This is the holy grail of ‘Star Wars,’” said pawnbroker Rick Harrison of Han Solo's blaster, though he is immediately corrected by Grad as the blaster is a “close second” to the actual Millenium Falcon.
Harrison is hyper jumping to London to meet with Grad and to overlook a variety of other interesting “Star Wars” collection items and memorabilia for “Pawn Stars.” It’s unclear if the episode will feature the Millenium Falcon itself, though among other “Star Wars” props and costumes, one item was teased with immense anticipation: George Lucas’ handwritten original “Star Wars” script.
This won’t be the first time “Star Wars” has been featured on “Pawn Stars,” as a variety of other memorabilia items, such as posters, props, and toys have all in one way or another made it into the titular Las Vegas Gold & Silver Pawn Shop.
The “Pawn Stars” “Star Wars” episode airs on History Channel at 10 p.m. EST.
