This summer's blockbusters have been all about giant transforming robots, American-based superheroes and teenaged wizards.

Next summer will probably include more of the same with two notable names added to the list: Batman and Spider-Man. The DC Comics and Marvel Comics legends are making their returns to the silver screen and excitement has already begun.

The third and final chapter of the Christopher Nolan/Christian Bale Batman series, The Dark Knight Rises is expected to come out July 20, 2012. The movie, also starring Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman, Anne Hathaway and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, will provide a conclusion to the trilogy of movies, which have been critical and commercial smash successes.

Seventeen days before that movie comes out, The Amazing Spider-Man, a reboot of the Spiderman film franchise starring The Social Network actor Andrew Garfield, is set to hit the theaters. The Spider-Man film series starring Tobey Maguire was successful, raking in billions in box office revenues. However, the director Sam Raimi and Maguire both declined to be a part of the fourth film, which goes back to the hero's origins. Also starring is Emma Stone and Rhys Ifans.

As moviegoers take in 2011's blockbuster selection they have been treated to teaser trailers for these two mega blockbusters.

That leaves us with one question: which trailer has got you more excited for the film?

The Dark Knight Rises

Spiderman

Personally, I'm looking more forward to The Dark Knight Rises. After looking at the Spider-Man teaser trailer, it comes off as a partial rehash of Spider-Man, released only nine years ago and 10 years from The Amazing Spider-Man's release date. In my opinion that 2002 movie was one of the best of the superhero/comic book genre. With that in mind, it will be hard for The Amazing Spider-Man to top that.

Feel free to leave your opinion in the comments.
