White House Says It Thwarted Cyber Attack
The Obama administration confirmed an attempted cyber attack on its computer system, but said it thwarted the attack, The Detroit Free Press reported Monday.
A White House official said the attack targeted an unclassified network, the Associated Press reported Monday. He said the attack was identified and that the system was isolated to prevent a spread of the attack. He added that there was no indication any data was removed.
