Whitney Museum breaks ground on 200,000-square-foot museum [Video]
New York - Mayor Bloomberg will speak at the Whitney Museum of American Art's ground breaking ceremony today.
Located in the Meatpacking District, the new 200,000-square-foot museum will provide the Whitney with essential space for its collection, exhibitions, and education and performing arts programs.
Through May 27, the Museum will be hosting a series of events, programs, performances, and public art initiatives.
