Whitney Thore Slammed For Kissing Buddy On ‘My Big Fat Fabulous Life’

The last episode of “My Big Fat Fabulous Life” Season 5 definitely raised some eyebrows when Whitney Way Thore and Buddy Bell seriously kissed. They did kiss earlier on the show, but it was accidental and unexpected. The one they shared in the finale, however, was planned, sweet and very romantic.

After the episode aired, some “My Big Fat Fabulous Life” viewers expressed their disappointment on social media. They claimed that Whitney broke girl code because she kissed her best friend’s ex-boyfriend and even admitted her feelings for him.

“So let me get this straight #MyBigFatFabulousLife Whitney is into Buddy.. who is what. Heather ex [sic] who is what? Whitney best friend [sic]. All that time she was trying to hide Buddy when he was in town but now she has feeling [sic] for him..so much for Heather’s feelings,” one user wrote on Twitter.

“You should not date or kiss your friends ex boyfriend,” another user commented.

“I think it should happened a long time ago when he knew she was in love with him, but he wanted to stay friends and now he has dated her friend so this is a no no,” another fan stated.

Others also voiced their disapproval of Whitney and Buddy getting together because the latter seems problematic. One fan said Buddy needs to recover from his problems by himself. The fan also called out Whitney for always trying to pick men she thinks she can “save.”

On the other hand, many fans were actually happy to see Whitney and Buddy finally getting together after all the things that they had gone through as friends. On Whitney’s Instagram post about her and Buddy’s sweet gesture in the finale, many expressed their joy upon seeing Whitney and Buddy romantically kiss in the finale.

One user said she teared up because of the undeniable love between the two, adding that no matter what happens their “beautiful friendship” should remain. Another asked why it took so long for them to realize this, but the user was happy because Whitney and Buddy look “so cute together.”
