Who Is Alba Jancou? Christie Brinkley's Ex-Husband Peter Cook Proposes To 21-Year-Old

On Monday, it was revealed that Christie Brinkley's ex-husband, Peter Cook, is now engaged to Alba Jancou. Cook, 60, reportedly proposed to the 21-year old in Santorini, Greece and gave her a six-carat ring in front of a church on Sept. 15. What else do we know about her so far?

According to Page Six, the pair originally met two years ago at Le Bilboquet, but did not start dating until a year ago.

Cook, who has called Jancou his "soulmate," was first spotted with his now-fiancé in July at celebrity chef Bobby Flay's Hamptons magazine cover party. Reportedly, Cook also attended the East Hampton Library's Authors Night with the 21-year-old as well.

Following the engagement, Page Six reports that Cook commented, saying, "We consider ourselves incredibly lucky to have found, in each other, our soulmate. We are looking forward to many years of wedded bliss!"

Reportedly, Jancou is a psychology student in New York and is Swiss, French and English. Per Page Six, she previously "attended a prestigious English private boarding school." It has also been said that her parents, Tanya Bonakdar, 53, and Marc Jancou, 51, are prominent New York art gallerists. Additionally, it is said that they are now divorced, even though they once ran a gallery together.

As for any social media accounts belonging to the college student, Jancou does have an Instagram, but it is set to private. However, she does have a bio in place, which reads, "Too busy working on my own grass to notice if yours is greener," followed by a shrug emoji. Reports have also emerged that she has since deleted her LinkedIn account as well.

According to Us, Cook and Brinkley's marriage lasted from 1996 to 2008, when they divorce. However, the two share a daughter, Sailor Brinkley-Cook, 21, who was recently eliminated from ABC's "Dancing With the Stars."

At this time, a date for Cook and Jancou's upcoming celebration has not been set, but sources have revealed that at this time they are considering a destination wedding in Europe.
