Korean Pop (KPop) has been making headlines recently as the music phenomenon expands beyond Asia and attracts a Western fan base of screaming teenage boys and girls. Recently, the cable channel tvN conducted a poll, asking 150 foreign students from 20 countries which KPop idol they think is the sexiest, soompi.com reported.

Korean pop has begun to spread beyond Asia and capture the attention of the world. The poll attempted to see which KPop stars had contributed the most to the rise in western attention to the Korean musical phenomenon, asking Who is the top idol whose looks have attracted the attention of the world?

The first round was conducted by approaching people on the street, and asking who is the number one idol? Americans selected YonnA of Girls' Generation as most attractive female. When asked why the praised her natural beauty, while Wonder Girls' Yoobin ranked number one with students from South Africa, Turkey and Kazakhstan.

The final round combined the results of polling the male population in France, Italy, the US, Korea and five other countries. The combined scores were tallied to declare a winner as well as second and third place.

Yoobin of Wonder Girls' was crowned hottest KPop star with with 77 points. Second place went to Seohyun of Girls' Generation with 71 points, and Sandara Park from 2NE1 (pronounced '21') took third place with 57 points.
